The Bangladesh River Foundation (BRF) is an organization established in 2019 and Chaired by Mr. Muhammad Monir Hossain since inception, the Foundation has initiated numerous socio-economic projects for river basin communities, government and non-government stakeholders and climate affected regions, which aim to provide sustainable development, employment opportunities that in turn enhance livelihoods. In tandem, BRF’s projects also work towards to enhancing capacity building of river basin communities, and different institutions, as well as local knowledge and skills. Such initiatives will impact in benefitting thousands of individuals, and local communities directly and indirectly. Important information is Bangladesh River Foundation incorporate with Bangladesh River Travellers Network which established in 2014 and part of BRF.
With the growth of the Foundation, and the evolvement of development in the Country, BRF has widened its approach to include sustainable community investments. By integrating and serving community development needs, the Foundation is now recognized nationally, regionally and internationally as an agent for positive change.

OBJECTIVES
- Bangladesh River foundation aims to conserve, protect and improve the rivers and River system and their wildlife, for the benefit of the public and the wider environment
- To work in partnership with local communities, landowners, river and environmental interest groups, businesses, education providers and statutory agencies to ensure that all our projects are sustainable, evidence-based, and utilize the invaluable knowledge, experience and skills that exists in our community
- Improve the socio-economic conditions of the basin areas.
- Upgrade skills of local communities and community-based organizations.

- Further the knowledge and accessibility of marginalized communities.
- To educate the community on the importance of the freshwater environment and the role they can play in its protection.
